Marquee 2007
The inaugural event of our Young Leaders program.

This event attracted over 450 young professionals who gathered for cocktails and dancing at Marquee club in New York City to learn about our work and contribute funds towards it. Proceeds from the event provided a scholarship for the medical education of a student at Weill Bugando.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our host committee members, who each worked to engage their friends and networks, secure items for a silent auction and arrange sponsors for the event, the evening was a huge success. In addition to introducing hundreds of new friends to our work, we raised far more than our expectations for our first Young Leaders event.
Special thanks are due to Parisa Jaffer and Luke Raymond for the critical roles they played in the evening’s success, and to Marquee for donating their fantastic venue for our event and helping to coordinate a great evening.
We look forward to building our relationships with our Young Leaders, and to increasing awareness of our work among the young professionals of New York.
