The Touch Foundation's Into Africa offers a night of cocktails, dinner and live African entertainment the Grosvenor House in London. The evening will also feature celebrity guests and a charity auction with African-inspired items.
Ticket sales and donations will provide scholarships for students at Bugando, a hospital and medical university in Tanzania training doctors and other healthcare workers to serve in rural areas. Graduates are already tackling maternal and infant mortality from HIV/AIDS, malaria and other preventable diseases. The hospital is in urgent need of essential repairs. Expanding medical training today will save thousands more lives tomorrow.
