Volunteer Site Location: Bugando Medical Centre in Tanzania

Medical Volunteer Opening: Pathologist, Neurologist, Urologist, Gastroenterologist, Nurse Tutors (with Masters/PhD in Nursing/Nursing Education) and Medical Librarian

Length of Commitment: 1 Year

Description: Bugando Medical Centre is a consultant and teaching hospital for the Lake and Western zones of the United Republic of Tanzania. It is situated along the shores of Lake Victoria in Mwanza City serving as a referral center for tertiary specialist care for six regions, including Mwanza, Mara, Kagera, Shinyanga, Tabora and Kigoma with a catchment population of approximately 14 million people. The hospital is in partnership with the Catholic Church, the Tanzania Government through the Ministry of Health, the Touch Foundation and other partners.
