We aim to build new schools and facilities around the most appropriate healthcare delivery centers in Tanzania, ensuring that appropriate caseloads are available for training students. We will work with the Tanzanian government to train and staff these new institutions with a sufficient supply of practitioners and clinical faculty, trained at Weill Bugando or elsewhere. We intend to begin planning this program in 2008, with the goal of building the first new school in 2010 (or as soon as sufficient funding has been obtained).
