Director of Communications

You will be responsible for developing an integrated communications strategy that meets diverse stakeholder needs while establishing a consistent and compelling message across a variety of channels (print, presentations, film and visual media, e-mail, and the Web). You will also be responsible for promoting the Touch Foundation reputation across existing and expanded networks within the business, philanthropic, and global public health communities.


Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of a communications and marketing strategy, including collaborating with project teams to determine program objectives, devising key messages, identifying optimal message platforms and channels, and codifying communications frameworks and guidance
  • Conceptualize, create, and maintain a full suite of materials, including articles and comprehensive reports, key stakeholder briefings, press releases, newsletters and brochures, presentation and special-event materials, films, e-mail and Web-based communications
  • Continually assess and refine initiatives to enhance impact, accommodate rapid organizational expansion, and ensure alignment with shifting programs, priorities, and objectives
  • Advise on large corporate and foundation grant proposals, as well as private donor solicitations, acknowledgments, and other development-related correspondence and material
  • Support activities of multiple teams in three continents to ensure all communications are accurate, appropriate, and inclusive of key data
  • Establish and maintain relationships with graphic-design, film production and printing vendors to assist in the production and publication of all Foundation materials


Minimum Requirements
You will be a high-energy professional with at least ten years of relevant experience in public relations, marketing, advertising or corporate communications industries. Exceptional and proven editing skills are required, as is proficiency with Adobe’s creative suite. The candidate should also be a demonstrated self-starter comfortable with applying for-profit business practices in a non-profit setting. Outstanding attention to detail and organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Some background or expertise in photography/photo editing is a plus.
